Museums in Northern Cyprus
There are many museums and historical sites in Northern
Cyprus. Our tours cover most of these. However if you wish to visit
under your own steam the opening hours are;
Winter (from end of October until beginning April)
All sites 09.00am – 13.00pm 14.00pm –
16.45pm
Summer
Small indoor museums 09.00am – 14.00pm
Outdoor sites and larger indoor museums 09.00am – 19.00pm
St. Hilarion Castle closes at 17.00pm but the last entrance permitted
is roughly 15.30pm as it takes about an hour to climb to the top.
Kantara Castle is open from 10.00am – 17.00pm as is Othello’s
Tower (Famagusta) and Vuni Palace (Güzelyurt)
Buffavento Castle is open all day on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday
only, summer and winter. (ACCESS TRACK BAD, JEEP REQUIRED)
Antiphonitis Monastery is closed Thursday and Friday, winter and
summer. The track is bad down to the monastery.
